3. School Leaving Examination Certificate/High School Certificate. Include forecast results if you have not finished your studies.
4. Full Academic Transcripts (consolidated not accepted) + Final Degree Certificate + Institute marking scheme. Include transcripts received if you have not finished your studies.
5. English language proficiency certificate (if applicable)
6. CV/Resume. Include relevant technical certificates if mentioned, for example, C++, Java
7. Statement of purpose. C.500 words on why you wish to do the course and why you would be a suitable candidate.
Please do not submit anything not on the list above, for example, a work contract.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
You may be required to submit other documentation, for example, a portfolio for art programmes.
Qualifications & Certificates
You must send certified copies of your qualifications to the CAO. Where the original document is issued in a language other than English, you must send certified copies of an English translation to the CAO. If you receive an offer from MTU Cork, you must present the original certificates to the Admissions office in September.
Program Description
The BBus Sport & Exercise Management programme combines sport, exercise and health modules with core business areas such as marketing, management, accounting and economics. Essentially, students are educated to work in the sport, leisure and business sectors of the economy, and this programme provides the specialist skills and competencies needed to achieve this. The comprehensive Work Placement Programme in Year 3 provides significant breadth and depth in the operational machinations of the Sport, Exercise and Health Industry, effectively establishing work-ready experiences for all students. Active participation in sport and/or physical activity is an advantage. However, applicants do not need to have exceptional ability or achievements in sport to excel in this programme.
Work Placement
Students will have the opportunity to undertake a semester-long Work Placement, including the option of travelling abroad, in Year 3 (Semester 6).

MTU Cork Campus Live Q&A Webinar for CAO Applicants
MTU hosted an online question and answer event for prospective CAO students on Wednesday, 27th January 2021.
This event focused on courses available to CAO applicants on the Cork campus locations of MTU, and covered areas such as Business, Engineering, Science, Humanities, Computer Science, Art, Music, Maritime and Architecture. Representatives from all areas across the Cork campus locations of MTU were on hand to answer last-minute questions from Leaving Certificate students who are in the process of completing their CAO applications prior to the deadline of 1st February 2021.
